There are whispers in the wind of someone who is not so nice. Someone who doesn’t want to play by anyone’s rules. Someone who is tired of staying in a world that isn’t their own, having to play by the laws of the Mundane while also adhering to the guidelines that the Tales have set for themselves.

No one knows who, or what, this force is. Some say that the Adversary is a Tale within a Tale, made up to give reason to why they’re all in the Mundane world in the first place. Others fear the name itself, feeling that some things, even to people as magical as they, cannot be explained.

Whether or not the Adversary exists or not remains to be seen, it is undeniable that there are those who share their sentiments, and would come under full support of him or her if ever they came out to the public.

... Or have they already started to reach out to people who they feel might support them?

It would be unfair to say that Harry only got his job at the Academy because of what his Tale is, but it certainly did help. When Fiona told Thomas about him, Thomas seemed eager to make amends with his Tale counterpart. Despite all of this, some things don’t change, and Harry seems to be rather unsettled with all of the recent developments in Woodsbridge, particularly where Registration is concerned. He wants it fixed, and he wants it fixed ASAP. Unfortunately, real life moves even slower than fables.

As of February 14th, Harry has stepped in as Dean of Discipline until Thomas either recovers or... worsens.

Samuel is just about as charismatic as they come, which is great, considering he’s the Mayor. Although there is an unspoken worry that he uses his power (whether intentionally or unintentionally) to cinch his nomination, on the whole, he doesn’t do a shabby job at running the place. Although some of his ideas may be a little unrealistic at times, he only has good intentions for the town.

Towards the end of his term, Coleson recieved a lot of critisism for the way in which events in town were handled, particularly when he, paired with the Business Office, decided to release items from the Homeland to persons from the item's Tale. He ran a platform in support of partial registration (either the registering of powers or your Tale), as an attempt to compromise with his believe that all Tales should be registered. Coleson lost to Jack Daby in the 2016 election for Mayor. As of right now, he's taking a little bit of time to himself.

Samantha is as close to a local celebrity as they come. Being the town’s meteorologist, she not only predicts the weather but also-- well, manipulates it. She’s the reason for the well-balanced seasons within Woodbridge, and is also the reason why all kinds of crops seem to do well in this town! She is also the person who started up How Does Your Garden Grow, the local Farmer’s Market. Glamors leave her looking a lot younger than she actually is, and you’d do well not to ask about it!

Quick witted and sharp, Madison has no problem championing a cause to the death. She's a passionate Traditionalist and vehemently anti-Villain. Most recently, she was railing against the Business Office for releasing Tale items to the public. But, as it turns out, that may have all just been an elaborate cover as she helped her girlfriend, Elena, find a very particular item.

Friendly, warm, and never without a kind word for anyone, Elena's a native with a passion for Traditionalism and all things related to Tales, so it wasn't really a shock that she went down the path of becoming an Archaelogist. After all, what better way to be closer Tales than to find the items that were most important to them? And so she worked her way up the ranks in the Archaeology department. But sometimes, passion turns to obsession, and the obsessed are sometimes willing to go to great lengths to get what they want...

Ryan is… well… Gruff. And a bit loud, really. Acting as Woodbridge’s Sheriff, Ryan has done a pretty good job at seeing to it that the peace is kept between Tales. Not many are able to get over his rough edges, and he would prefer it that way. Ryan is the classic reality show, “I’m not here to make friends. I’m here to DO MY JOB.” And he does it. Well. You don’t want him knocking on your door.

Ryan is having a hard time grappling with the fact that his team can't piece together what's happening in Woodsbridge right now; it's taking all he can to make sure the people are safe, let alone looking into the why of things.

Portia has been with Woodsbridge for many years-- or, at least has been in town long enough to know the residents. She’s always been kind, if reclusive. She claimed to prefer living in the Woods because it gave her peace and because she hated to bother anyone with the smells of her potions! But now that this far more sinister side of her has come about, some are wondering if this could have been avoided if they knew who she really was, rather than that she was just a witch.

Bubbly and bright, Fiona is not only the Dean of Admissions at the Academy, but is also the public face of Woodsbridge. She took over the job once Peter passed, having been his underling. Because of her powers, she is able to locate Tales from anywhere in the world, and sends them (sometimes personally!) an invitation to attend Woodsbridge when they graduate high school.

Most recently, she's been asked by the Business Office to help verify persons who are interested in items. She does so without complaint, but wholly prefers to keep to her job at the Academy. She is, after all, a very busy woman!

A fairly new arrival to Woodsbridge, Petra quickly rose in the ranks at the Business Office. Water cooler gossip gives many reasons for this, many say she’s the daughter of one of the higher ups, others say she’s blackmailing someone, even more still say she’s in a relationship with someone important.

Petra is friendly and always attempts to be on the side of whoever she’s talking to, but she’s very tight lipped about the higher ups and maybe that’s why they picked her for the job. There's a time for work and a time for play! Unfortunately, most people of interest seem to catch her at work and in the middle of controversy, particularly where archaeology is involved.

Peter was a well-regarded Tale. Before him, the Academy relied on Tales finding them, as no one else had the power of being able to locate Tales and their Power. He did his job dutifully, but not without asking for a couple of things in return. He had the best house in Vintery, the best glamours the town had to offer, and a rotating door of Tales who tried to seduce names and powers out of him.

No one knows exactly what happened-- many say that the power went to his head, and the wrong people found out. Some say he had it in with Mundies living in Woodsbridge harassing him to reveal more Tales true identities.

Either way, two Mundies and a very red-handed Peter ended up dead. The details surrounding the case are fuzzy, and Ryan Finnigan counts it as one of his biggest failures.

Peter’s death is what sent the want for Registration into effect.

Matt grew up with a sense of adventure far bigger than himself. Growing up he was always certain that Woodsbridge was too small for him. He imagined living in far off places. Any place but this town. But there was his family and the honest truth that he couldn't be his full self in Mundie Towns. What was the next best thing? One of the most dangerous jobs a Tale could take on - he became an Archaeologist. Combining his love of getting into places he was never supposed to be in and history. What could be better?

Very little is known about Paul, most commonly known as "Mr. Smith," to all of those who work under him at the Business Office. One of the ever-elusive "higher ups," that people hear so much about, Paul is something of an enigma. Those who have managed to get a meeting with him will know that he's passionate about Archaeology-- maybe a little too passionate.

Borderlining between quirky and downright strange, Mr. Smith prefers to keep to himself when at work, and to himself when at home. And he seems to prefer it that way!

No one is exactly sure how old Thomas is, but he claims that he’s old enough to be the original Thomas Tuttle who founded the Academy back in 1900 (and the pictures that exist seem to back that claim up!). Generally laid-back and go-with-the-flow, there isn’t much that seems to get under his skin. Everything, he says, will come around as planned in the end. Slow and steady.

On February 14th, Thomas was found unresponsive in his office at the Academy. Although qualified persons have tried to revive him, so far there has not been any progress, and he has been declared comatose. People largely suspect that this has something to do with his age; no one knows exactly how old he is. Of course, there's always the possibility that this is not the case...
